dreamy polaroids
February 8, 2012
I love these dreamy shots of Michelle Williams for Boy. by Band of Outsiders frolicking around the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. So intriguing.
Moonlight Magic
February 6, 2012
"A girl with her head in the clouds, who clings on to her dreams. Or on towards the stars?"
Vanessa Bruno's latest fashion film is dreamy and magical, as usual. If only I could put them all on a loop to watch over and over. There's something about director Stephanie Di Giusto's clever way of intertwining nature and the mystical that gets me every time.
More moonlight magic over on Little Skyline today.

Reimagined vintage, muted colors and simple comfort live side-by-side in this pretty Brooklyn townhouse.
Color Intensity
January 31, 2012
I'm captivated by the vibrant colors in Mara Hoffman's beautifully shot 2012 Resort Swim campaign. And slightly excited to shop for a new bathing suit. Slightly.
MOMA Material Lab
January 20, 2012
The Material Lab at The Museum of Modern Art is an interactive space where kids can learn about how materials are used in art and create art themselves. Nothing is off limits. Kids can explore different materials, colors and textures all while letting their imagination run free. It rocks!
What's also really great is that little ones are able to explore art through different mediums. Jules really liked exploring color on the light box. And using a paintbrush to make digital art was pretty cool. They also have a great selection of art books both kids and adults can enjoy.
Although museum trips can still be fun for little ones even though touching is off-limits (we like to pick a color and see how many times we spot it throughout the museum, "I Spy" is always fun, and we even named one of Diego Rivera's horses), experimenting and creating at the Material Lab is a great way to round out the experience.
Kids under 16 are free. And Target Free Friday nights are held every Friday from 4 to 8pm.
On the radar for the weekend:
Art slam and free party tonight for 7-9th grader at the Children's Museum of the Arts
Saturday Play is back at Cutie Patooties in Englewood from 9:30am -1pm (crafts and open play)
Family fun day (brunch and a show) on Sunday at the Pilsener Haus Biergarten in Hoboken
Foodie festival for kids at Bryant Park

In Wonderland
January 12, 2012
The accompanying coffee table book to the new exhibition at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art titled In Wonderland: The Surrealist Adventures of Women Artists in Mexico and the United States features the works of 48 Mexican and U.S. based women artists and essays that explore the role they played in the surrealist movement. Such a beautiful cover.
Cozy Luxe in the French Countryside
December 9, 2011
With its dark wood walls, exposed beams, worn leather couches, dimly lit rooms and abundance of fireplaces, the Chez Odette in northern France seems like the perfect escape from the cold weather. Stay warm this weekend, friends!
